Music production and sound effects

September 21st, 2009

Today we are going to talk about music and that’s something I really enjoy.

If you enjoy music production and sound effects I’m sure that you’re going to like my post.

If you like to do electronic music there are some programs that you must get to know. The two main programs for music production are Cubase for Pc and Logic for Macintosh, these programs ensemble music and also use digital synthesizers so you can explore many sounds. The programs come with some basic vst or digital synthesizers but after you install the program you must also install new vst’s, that way you’ll have a much wider sound range.

If you work with Pc I also must advise you to get fruity loops and Rebirth which are programs with their own digital synthesizers, you can connect these programs to Cubase and them do the sound assembly in Cubase while the other program plays the sound you want. You’ll see that with a bit of practice everything will fall into place.

From my personal experience I can say that producing music is a lot of fun and it also helps you kill some of that dead time that you have during your day. I used to produce psychedelic trance and I used to love hearing my own tracks in the car and with friends.

Around the internet there are a lot of forums talking about music productions and if you really are interested take a look at them after you download the proper programs.

Using sound effects is really useful too because you can incorporate them in your music, videos, films, video games, slideshow presentations, flash animations, TV, online games, YouTube, webisodes, etc.

I bet that now you know a little bit more about music creation but the best comes from personal experience so start experimenting right now.
