How much exercise should I make to lose weight?

April 1st, 2010

That’s a pretty difficult question to answer because everybody is different and carries different weight, for some people it can take years but it will lead to real improvements in that person life because the idea is to exercise and burn a lot of calories everyday for the most possible part of your life, your lifespan should statistically increase if you exercise.

In my blog I recommend at least an hour of moderate exercise but it can be two, it depends on how much you want to improve yourself. In the end I came up with one hour because I think that should be enough for beginners who want to lose weight. You can find more detailed information in my blog for weight loss diet books.

If you want to lose weight you’ll have to work on your diet too, that’s essential. There are certain meals that you should avoid and there are others you should do. It’s very difficult to make you a custom made diet but there are many books that work under different formulas. For me the best formula is the one about fat burning foods and this kind of diet works on the quality of what you eat, there are several diet books based in this formula and some of them have almost custom made meals for many cases.

Remember that the best way to lose weight is by working in your diet and exercise.

Take good care of the elderly

March 13th, 2010

People just get older as the time passes along, we have the obligation of taking good care of our elderly and because of that we should take all precautions so that our elderly have the best conditions possible.

After a hard life’s work people deserve a rest with pride and because of that there are more and more high quality senior housing showing up in the map. Take as an example seniors housing Seattle, seniors housing New York, and seniors housing in Los Angeles.

Times are changing and I think that now people realize how important it is to take care of the elderly, they deserve the best care in the world since they help us building everything we have. Some people used to ignore their family elderly abandoning them is old houses or in cheap and bad senior housing, this should change and we shouldn’t be so selfish, our parents look over us when we are young and we have the obligation of looking after them when they get older, it’s as simple as that.

Main point of this article is for you to take the very best care of your family elderly as they did for you when you were young.

5 Most Ridiculous Looking X-Ray Pictures Ever

November 6th, 2009

The x-ray machine is a fascinating piece of technology. It has helped doctors diagnose patients for years. It’s one of the most effective tools our country uses in the war on terrorism by using them at airports to help prevent terrorist tactical moves like 911. Yep, it’s true. The x-ray machine has really found its place in society. Wait! There’s another use for the x-ray that’s a tad less important, but quite effective in tickling the funny bone. If you want a good laugh then check out these 5 most ridiculous looking x-ray pictures ever.

Freaking.news.com has got an x-ray that depicts a person with a crayon shoved up his or her nose. You’ll notice the Bush, G W on the top of the film, and the presidential seal at the bottom. It’s obviously a spoof or dig on one of our former presidents. Now who could that be? Might it be saying that instead of taking his position of Commander in Chief seriously, old Georgie boy chose to play with his crayons, and stuck one up his nose? It’s possible, considering some people say he handled this whole War on Terrorism campaign as if it were a game. You dedcide.

Another Freakingnews.com x-ray that has political implications is the one that depicts the image of Bin laden’s face smack dab in the middle of a pelvis. The real question would be whether or not the face of Bin Laden is actually on the front or the back of the pelvis?”Hmmmm. If it’s on the back could it be implying he’s a… well, for lack of a better G-rated word, a butthole? Or is it implying that he had his head stuck up someone’s butt? All kidding aside, if this x-ray is the real McCoy, and the image just coincidently looks like Bin Laden’s face, it’s probably one of the most unique x-rays ever taken.

For this next one, just punch in ridiculous x-ray pictures into your search engine. Open the ‘images of ridiculous x-ray pictures’ link. Second row down to the extreme right is an x-ray of Homer Simpson. Not sure what items were used to create the image, but it’s a real good depiction; especially the little tiny brain inside his huge cranium cavity. Check it out and see if you can identify what items were used to create the face.

This next one isn’t really an x-ray, but the talent of the groomer who created the supposed image on the x-ray dog deserves a mention. It’s a snapshot taken of a poodle that’s had on side of it groomed to look like it’s an actual x-ray picture. It’s obvious to anyone that it’s a real poodle that’s been groomed to look like an x-ray, but it’s so ridiculous that it’s funny. You can find the picture at www.trendhunter.com.

Go to www.wackyarchives.com, and check out the skeletal hands that apparently got caught dipping into the cookie jar. The skeletal hands have got a set of handcuffs hooked on them. It looks as if the hands are that of an adult. Of course, if the cookie jar was located at a relatively low spot in the house it’s possible that it was a youngster. What’s so ridiculous about the picture? Well, nothing really. It’s just a cool picture.

acls online course

October 19th, 2009

The winter is coming and as blue turns to grey the time comes for us to spend some more time at home. Staying at home in those grey days can be pretty boring unless you have something useful to do, something useful can be for example taking a course or more properly an online course.

If you’re looking to occupy your free time let me advise you to take an acls online course. With an acls online course you can learn how to behave in a stressful situation where there is some kind of cardiac problem. Acls means advanced cardiac life support and if you are in the health care system it may be very useful for your profession.

Advancing in the profession only brings good things and being more proficient at the work you do can increase your self sense as a professional.

With the certification from this course you might even get a better wage or find work more easily, don’t abstain yourself from knowledge and improve your skills every chance you got.

Last tip: the best is not to fall into some kind of heart problem but instead eat in a healthy manner and do some exercise, this is the magic formula for your healthy life.

Orthopedic surgeon San Francisco

October 16th, 2009

In case of you having an orthopedic problem I would like to recommend you an orthopedic surgeon San Francisco. This surgeon works for Peninsula Orthopedic Associates and in this clinic there are people with over 50 years of experience.

It’s always good to have support when you have a medical problem, sometimes asking for a second opinion is also good.

Don’t mess with your health and if you can try all routes possible in order to know what really is going on with you.

Problems with bones are quite common especially if you have a more advanced age, take good care of your bones and if some problem comes along don’t hesitate to ask for a medical opinion about your situation. Sometimes if you take care of your problem in the beginning chances of success will increase terribly.

One good thing to maintain a healthy bone structure is to do some exercise, physical exercise strengthens the bones and your general health.

The main word is to take good care of your bones and remember that very heavy physical exercise might not help in the longevity of your bones and articulations.

May you have a healthy life and all the best.

Are you getting the best medical care?

October 13th, 2009

It’s true, we all need a health insurance if we want to get treated in our country, the U.S.. Unfortunately our country doesn’t have free medical service or at least medical service for a symbolic value. So here or you pay a fortune to get treated or you have a health insurance, pretty sad but a fact of life.

Normally everybody has a health insurance even if it is from the company they work for. Sometimes bad things may happen and one of them might be you losing your health insurance, the reason doesn’t matter but anyway you might end up without your health insurance. If that happens to you remember to consult with professionals that know which alternatives you have and which of them is the best for your case. Those professionals know what’s the best for you even on your prescriptions, if you have any doubt just check Medicare Part D prescription.

Also check Medicare D Enrollment and cost of Medicare D for more explanations.

These days we have to try and save in whatever we can so I strongly advise you to seek the proper help and get yourself informed about all the options.

As we grow old new problems related to our health develop, unfortunately that’s another fact of life but try to get the best out of the worst making your choices in an intelligent way.

Stress Reduction

October 5th, 2009

I think that most of us must agree that the stress is the epidemic of the 21st century.

There are several ways to have a stress reduction or even eliminate stress and one of them is by changing the way you live or your attitude towards life. Changing the way we live our life is easy but then if it involves loosing the job? Some jobs are really stressful. Well, when your job comes into the way it’s a tough decision because probably you have a family to sustain which makes this situation even worst.

If you are in uptight situation like the one I just explained above maybe you should consider taking a look at this stress reduction program from The Stress Institute. Dr. Kathleen Hall will make sure that you reduce your stress without losing the most important things in your life like the job you have.

Some cities may not help because of all the noise and the time we lose to get from a place to another, for those situations there are also things that can be done, contact a specialist in this area and they’ll probably be helpful.

Never give in to stress because it really messes with your nervous system.
